This (currently unnamed) rocket is LRA's entry in the 2027 International Rocket Engineering Competition. For this competition, we'll be competing in the two-stage category. Presently, no one in LRA has experience with a multi-stage rocket. This is why, as chief engineer, I designed and built Vallah-Freya alongside our manufacturing lead as a test-bed for our full-scale multi-stage rocket.

This rocket will be targeting a 30,000 foot apogee, standing at 18.5 feet tall and is projected to reach a velocity of Mach 1.6.

As the Chief Engineer of Flight Systems, I oversee the design of the rocket and the 4 sub-teams that contribute to its final construction: manufacturing, avionics/recovery, payload, simulations.

At this point, we are making final tweaks to the design as we begin to order parts in preparation for the beginning of the construction process.

As we round out the design of our competition rocket, I'll add more information and photos to describe this large project more in depth. Thanks for reading, and check back soon!
